Since 2008, we have closed more than 1.7 million acres and $1.5 billion in sales, helping landowners buy, sell, and protect some of the most significant ranches in Texas. Our work draws on James King’s 40 years in conservation real estate, including 19 years as Director of Land Protection for The Nature Conservancy in Texas. Over nearly two decades, our team has built a trusted network of buyers, lenders, appraisers, and land professionals. We have sold more Texas ranches under conservation easements than any other firm, and we can help you design and negotiate an easement that fits your land and your goals. During his nineteen-year tenure as the Director of Land Protection for the Nature Conservancy and West Texas Program Manager in Texas, James King garnered more experience putting conservation real estate transactions together than anyone else in Texas. A staunch advocate of community-based conservation, James has worked on many projects that are now well-known protected lands such as: Dolan Falls Preserve, Barton Creek Preserve, Independence Creek Preserve, Powderhorn Ranch, Shamrock Island, Marathon Grasslands, and Pinto Canyon.

A native of Castroville, Texas and a 1984 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Tammy King has a background in education, and today, as a licensed Texas real estate broker, enjoys educating clients regarding real estate opportunities in the magnificent Trans-Pecos. Tammy moved to Fort Davis, Texas with her husband James to raise their children while James initiated efforts to conserve the beautiful Davis Mountains and other prized area landscapes.
