Main Home Features

The home features an open floor plan with kiva style fireplace as a focal point in the living area, which is visible to the kitchen and informal dining area. A gas burning stove is situated in the fireplace which can be removed to convert the fireplace to wood burning or gas logs. Custom built cedar wood cabinets provide ample storage in the kitchen and large picture windows provide the perfect location for houseplants. Extra deep tile countertops enhance the kitchen’s workspace, and cedar beam ceilings provide accent to the living and dining area and kitchen. Sash windows are found in the dining and living areas and the entire first floor is tiled with ceramic tile.
A short hallway with half bath leads to an office alcove with built-in shelving and views of Cathedral Mountain and the yard’s native plantings, a perfect location to stage bird feeders. The hallway continues to the sizeable, sequestered master suite with its beautifully colored stained-glass window, private patio and well-appointed bathroom. The vaulted ceiling in the master suite is accented with cedar beams, latilla’s obtained from New Mexico, and the solid wood doors throughout the home are Santa Fe style. Casement windows are found in the master bedroom and French doors lead to the partially covered enclosed patio. Guest House / Casita
The 664 +/- square foot casita was the first structure on the property, constructed in 2001 of straw bale and looks out towards the east rolling hills of North Double Diamond. The casita has an open floor plan with combined living area, bedroom and kitchenette with propane stove top and under counter refrigerator. Heating is provided by the wood burning fireplace and the water is heated with an on demand propane gas water heater. The living space is separated from the bath and storage area by a wooden door. The bathroom with vanity and commode is in a separate room and a separate door opens onto the ceramic tub with shower. The casita has it’s own 800 gallon water storage tank and is connected to the home’s shared well. A two-car carport is attached to the front of the casita. A few steps away is a circular building, built-out as an outdoor shower.
The 471+/- square foot workshop has a concrete floor, gas and water are plumbed to the building. A separate storage area is also accessible. A single-car carport extends off the front of the building.
The 100 +/- square foot storage building with loft is located behind the home and is currently used to house the reach-in freezer that will convey with the sale of the home.
